AC Milan Lines Up Relatively Unknown Nigerian Midfielder After Failing To Sign Renato Sanchez

As part of their plans to strengthen their squad for the defence of their Serie A crown and also a return to the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan see the midfield as an area that requires attention.

First on the list of players marked out to solve the issue is Lille of France Renato Sanchez but he has decided to join fellow Ligue 1 side PSG. Leaving Milan to switch to other targets.

Little known Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika of Danish side Midtjylland is seen by the hierarchy of the team as an option according to A bid is reportedly set to be imminent.

Although there are no reports on talks between the parties involved, the 21 year old is said to be top of their priority list as back up options. He is worth around €5m per reports from the Danish media.

Last season he made 48 appearances in all competitions playing 27 times as a central midfielder, 17 times as a defensive midfielder and once played as a centre back. A versatility which could be part of why Milan have him high up on their list.
