Bochum closing in on Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu from Arsenal

Bundesliga side, VfL Bochum are on the verge of completing the signing of Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu from Arsenal, Footballghana.com understands.

The 23-year-old, who spent the second-half of last season on loan at English League One club Rotherham United has one-year left on his existing contract with the Gunners.

He has been on loan with a number of sides, including with Nottingham Forest at the start of last term.

Osei-Tutu is expected to sign a three-year deal with Bochum until 2025.

Despite injury setbacks in recent seasons, the highly-rated youngster enjoyed a successful loan spell with Rotherham United , scoring a vital goal in the EFL Trophy final win and helping them secure promotion.

He made 16 appearances for the club across all competitions and scored one goal.

Osei-Tutu spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bochum, where he made 22 appearances and played an important role for club.

He is yet to make his first-team debut for Mikel Arteta’s side.
