English National League North side, Chesterfield FC are on the verge of signing Ghanaian Michael Gyasi after parting ways with King’s Lynn Town FC.
Gyasi is expected to pen a two-year deal to stay at the cub until 2024.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season at Dover scoring an impressive five goals including a hat-trick against Wrexham.
Gyasi joined the Linnets form St Ives Football Club back in December 2020, where he made 36 appearances and scored two goals.
Speaking about the transfer Manager Tommy Widdrington said; “Michael, along with others, had very little or no experience of 1st team football at our level, or even the one below when I arrived and it was felt a period on loan where he’d be guaranteed game time was the best option for both Michael and the club.”
“Michael indeed got plenty game time and was assured he would be given a chance to play here on his return in pre-season.
“Michael made it very clear to me that he feels he is not appreciated here at Kings Lynn, so once a deal was made between the two clubs it was sensible for all parties to move on.”
