Germany-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Ansgar Knauff will be playing in the Uefa Champions League with his Eintracht Frankfurt outfit next season.
The player who struggled for minutes while at Borussia Dortmund in the first round of the 2021/22 football season turned out to be a hero at Frankfurt after all.
He was signed on loan until 2023 by Eintracht Frankfurt in the winter transfer window when there was no belief in his abilities at Dortmund.
Immediately after settling in at Eintracht Frankfurt, Ansgar Knauff was unstoppable and played key roles for the team in the run-up to reaching the finals of the Uefa Europa League.
In the finals against Scottish giants Rangers, Ansgar Knauff lasted the entire duration of the game as his team won 5-4 on penalties to be crowned champions.
For the icing on the cake, the Ghana target was subsequently named Young Player of the Season in the 2021/22 Europa League season by Uefa.
After a successful end to the season, the player can go on holiday knowing that he will be playing in the Uefa Champions League with Frankfurt next season.
