Kai Tomety Unveils Final Squad For Togo’s Maiden WAFCON

Releasing her final squad on Wednesday for the final phase of the 2022 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to take place in Morocco, Togo women’s head coach Kai Tomety kept the well known team made up of players who obtained Togo’s first qualification for the WAFCON.

The group members are familair to each other well. Talya Gace arrives from AJ Auxerre in France as the freshest addition to the squad.

This group of 24 players is mainly dominated by those based in the Togolese topflight and eight outside of the country.

Togo will play in group B of the WAFCON alongside Cameroon, Tunisia and Zambia. The Ladies Sparrowhawks begin their tournament facing the Eagles of Carthage. They will then meet the Indomitable Lionesses and finally the Copper Queens.
