My job was to qualify the team, I don’t have a problem stepping down – Nsoatreman coach Boniface Ayipah

Boniface Ayipah, head coach of Nsoatreman Football Club, says his main job was to qualify the team for the top flight and that he has no problem stepping down as coach of the team.

Coach Ayipah and his lads defeated Tamale City Football Club in the Division One League playoff on Tuesday, June 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium, securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

After securing promotion coach Ayipah will not be able to manage Nsoatreman because he doesn’t have the necessary qualifications to coach in the Ghana Premier League.

“I don’t think it’s a problem [to step aside for someone to take over]. I already know about that. All that was required was to qualify the team [to the Premier League] and that is exactly what I did,” he told Joy Sports.

“Any other person who comes and I’m around, I’ll give him my utmost support. I will support him with 100% and we achieve [glory].”

Coach Ayipah also indicated that he is ready to do his CAF License A if the top football governing body in Africa organizes it today.

“That is not something that is up to me because it’s up to CAF[who will have to organise the course] and if they do that today, I will definitely go in for the License A. I can not go for the license myself. I learnt they will [organise a new course] soon, so I’m waiting.”

Nsoatreman will be the newbies in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League with Kotoku Royals and Samartex.
