Nevin: Arsenal & Spurs need Zaha

Chelsea FC legend Pat Nevin believes that both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal FC need a player like Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivory Coast star is one of the most dangerous wingers in the Premier League and he is widely regarded as Crystal Palace’s key player.

Zaha’s current contract with Palace will expire at the end of this season and he is reportedly considering leaving the London-based club.

“I look at it in terms of who in the Premier League wouldn’t take Zaha for free? Maybe Man City wouldn’t,” Nevin said on TBR Football.

“Chelsea would because they take everyone in that position. He would probably strengthen Arsenal and Tottenham.

“I suspect a hell of a lot would be available for him if he sticks it out in January. He was the main man at Palace but he struggled at Man United when he wasn’t the main man,” the retired winger added.

“I think sometimes those sort of players struggle when they are not the core player and they are slightly fringe which doesn’t suit them as well.”

Zaha has scored six goals and provided two assists from 18 matches in the Premier League this season for Palace.
