Some players need big moments to announce themselves or remind people of their availability and talents. Most times scoring goals from range or in spectacular fashion works perfectly.
That is the case with Ponferradina Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who scored a terrific goal from range in their 1-2 loss to Real Zaragoza in the Spanish second division.
He showed unbelievable shooting technique to rifle home a strike a few metres from the centre circle to end his goal drought which has gone on for 504 days. His last league goal came on April 25, 2021 while playing on loan from Huesca at Alcorcon in a 2-1 home defeat against Leganes.
The 2015 U-17 World Cup most valuable player (MVP) has been brilliant for his new team since the start of the season. In all their games he has stood out and even got fans debating if he isn’t their greatest talent in recent times.
He took to social media earlier today to speak on the goal by attaching a video of the goal on Twitter with a caption which reads ” It Can only get better”.

He is yet to add to his three international cap for the senior national team of Nigeria as he hasn’t been called up since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
