News from South Africa Kaizer Chiefs: Hey, Hey – we are reunited again!

The words of the 1978 Peaches and Herb R&B hit single ‘Reunited’ were the inspiration behind the Kaizer Chiefs return to stadium campaign, by the same name.

The song starts off talking about the pain of the breakup and how lonely it is without the significant other in their lives. It goes on to describe the joy of being together again and how wonderful it feels to be reunited.

This journey resonated deeply with the Club’s experience during the last two years of playing in empty stadiums and the pleasure of welcoming supporters back into our home once again.

The sound of supporters singing in unity is a pure delight to everyone’s ears.  From the players on the field to the match officials, from the cleaners to the mamma’s selling food.

The Amakhosi are back, stronger than ever before – we are reunited in Love & Peace.

If the Sundowns game on the 8th of May was an indication of what we can expect moving forward, we know for sure that supporters will be back for more of the excitement and entertainment.  The beat of the drums, the flag waving, the singing, the vibe, the warm-up, the walk-on, the tension and the deep-seated raw passion of witnessing the action in real time.

Nothing beats this euphoria!

We would like to acknowledge and thank the over 40 branches who attended this game.  It was heart-warming to see so many familiar faces from KZN, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Free State, Mpumalanga, Botswana, North West, and not to forget the home crowd from Gauteng who came out in numbers.

When we stand together, we stand strong.

It is of critical importance that we are a united force gathered behind the Kaizer Chiefs dugout, singing the same songs, encouraging our players to perform at their peak, and deliver the goals we all love so much.

Your powerful voice is encouragement to their ears, so sing loud and proud – make yourself heard.
