German Bundesliga 2 side St Pauli has targeted Dynamo Dresden forward Christoph Daferner as a replacement for Daniel Kofi-Kyereh.

The 26-year-old who has been St Pauli’s talisman this season is on the verge of leaving the club in the summer.

Kyereh has scored 12 goals and provided ten assists in the Bundesliga II.

The attacking midfielder has popped up on the radar of several German topflight sides with Borussia Monchengladbach leading the race for his signature.

Footballghana.com understands the midfielder has also met the hierarchy of FC Freiburg and could secure a move to the club.

However, St Pauli has identified Christoph Daferner of Dynamo Dresden as replacement of the Ghanaian attacking midfielder.

Daferner, who scored 14 goals in 33 games last season, still has a contract with Dynamo until the summer of 2023.
