We trust in ourselves – Kahraba on facing Real Madrid

Al Ahly star Mahmoud Kahraba is optimistic about their chances of defeating European and Spanish champions Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Egyptian football heavyweights will face Madrid in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup semi-final clash at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

This comes after Al Ahly claimed a 1-0 win over North American champions Seattle Sounders in a quartet-final match on Saturday with Kahraba playing 63 minutes.

“Thank God for the victory. I thank my teammates, the technical staff, and all the fans who came to support us,” Kahraba said on King Fut.

“Our effort was not in vain, and God willing, we will win against Real Madrid and reach the final.

“It will be a difficult match against Real Madrid because we are facing the strongest team in the world, but nothing is impossible,” he added.

“Anything is possible and we trust in ourselves. All of our players are experienced and men.”

The winner between Al Ahly and Madrid will face either South American champions Flamengo or Asian champions Al Hilal in the final on Saturday.
