Afriyie Barnieh’s goal sends Black Galaxies to the next round of 2022 CHAN qualifiers

On Saturday afternoon, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored late in Cotonou to give Ghana a 1-0 win over Benin in the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

The Black Galaxies started the game well and took control of the midfield. The attackers also tested Benin’s goalkeeper.

The hosts, Benin, warmed up for the game by attempting to break the Black Galaxies’ back line, but all their efforts went wide off target.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored once more to propel the Black Galaxies to a 1-0 victory and a 4-0 aggregate victory.

Last weekend, the Black Galaxies won the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium thanks to Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Mohammed Alhassan, and Gladson Awako.

The Black Galaxies will host Nigeria in the first leg on August 27, 2022, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on September 4, 2022.
