Cristiano Ronaldo bought himself a Bugatti Centodieci, which is indeed the most expensive Bugatti. Although he hasn’t shown it publicly yet, he may have been waiting for his return from the World Cup in Qatar with several goals in his sleeve or a picture of him lifting the World Cup.
Eight million euros Bugatti Centodeci
The new car cost him eight million euros, without taking into account the taxes he would have had to pay in his country. But the number may be large for the player himself if we take into account that Cristiano Ronaldo earns more than 40 million a year just thanks to the products he promotes on his Instagram account, where he has 502 million followers.
1600 hp Bugatti Centodeci
The Centodechi is a super sports car that uses an 8-liter W16 engine with 1,600 horsepower as the Mistral, 100 horsepower more than the Chiron. With this power, the Shintodaichi takes 2.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, 6.1 seconds from 0 to 200, and 13.1 seconds to reach 300 km/h. And if it continues, its momentum could reach 380 kmph, electronically limited, because the engine is capable of much more than that.
Only ten copies Bugatti Centodeci
In order to maintain their value, only ten of these cars were ever built. They bear no numbering but the order of manufacture is noted by the chassis number. Can you imagine Ronaldo’s car? You will carry the number 7 of course. In fact, a rumor spread that the Portuguese star might have been interested in the car two years ago, but Bugatti has neither confirmed nor denied it. Anonymity from potential millionaire clients is crucial, and in the case of Ronaldo it is no different.
The proof came with some photos published by Portuguese media outlet Maisfutebol just days before the World Cup kicked off. In the pictures, the Bugatti Centodeci is seen leaving the Portuguese National Training Complex, in the town of Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon. And who else could be other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the photos taken in the middle of the night, the white Bugatti is seen leaving the facilities, apparently with a Mercedes SUV following him a few meters away and in which his bodyguards could be. It is true that there is no way to be sure that Cristiano is driving it, but it is also true that Bugatti is very selective when it comes to choosing its customers and that no one from the Portuguese camp would have approved of a Bugatti except for Ronaldo.
In fact, the relationship between the footballer and the French brand goes back a long way, as Cristiano already owns a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse that he acquired in 2016 and a Chiron that he bought a year later, both while still a player in Madrid.
