The club&aposs provisional squad numbers were submitted to the Premier League before the start of the season, but they are subject to change and Garnacho has revealed he&aposll now wear the No.17 shirt with a post on social media.
The player&aposs brother shared a photo of Garnacho in a No.17 shirt on Thursday night along with the caption: “AG17.”
Garnacho previously donned the No.49 shirt after breaking into the first-team from the academy last season and he&aposs chosen the No.17 shirt because his idol Cristiano Ronaldo wore that number for Portugal when he was younger.
Garnacho&aposs brother teased he would wear No.17 earlier in the week by posting a photo of Ronaldo in that shirt. Fred was the last player to wear the No.17 at Old Trafford but his exit this summer meant it was available.
Rasmus Hojlund is still without a squad number but that will change soon after the transfer window closes.
