Ander Herrera shows how he truly feels about Manchester United

The 34-year-old midfielder is once again back plying his trade in his native Spain, having turned out for the full 90 minutes in his side&aposs most recent 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday. Taking to Instagram after the game, Herrera was still keen to show his support for the Red Devils, with a classy photo posted on his Instagram.

After being denied the chance to stay at the club he held so dear to him back in 2019, Herrera&aposs admiration for those at Old Trafford is still clear to see, as he cheered on Erik ten Hag&aposs side some 1,000 miles away from his home in Bilbao. United were of course easily beaten by Newcastle United, as Anthony Gordon&aposs second-half tap-in condemned them to another Premier League defeat.

Herrera shared with his followers on Instagram that he was tuning in for the game with a photo of the match on his TV screen. Opening up on his exit, Herrera&aposs feelings towards the club are admirable to say the very least, even admitting that departing Manchester was one of the hardest things he ever had to do despite his best efforts to stay at the club.

To leave, it was difficult because six months before, five months before, I was expecting that offer for me to stay, he explained via the official Manchester United podcast back in December 2022.
