Barcelona ‘plot £150m Erling Haaland’ swoop and other Man City transfer rumours

That&aposs according to reports from 90min as Barcelona prepare to rival Real Madrid for his signature. Haaland signed for City from Borussia Dortmund for 51million last summer.

Since then, the 23-year-old has scored a staggering 58 goals in 59 games for the club. Haaland was a shining light for City during their historic treble-winning season, as they got their hands on a third straight Premier League, not to mention the Champions League trophy and yet another FA Cup.

Haaland has four years left to run on his City contract. However, while the Norway striker is content at the Etihad Stadium, that has not stopped him from being linked with elite European clubs, with Barcelona added to that particular list amid these latest developing reports.

The article suggests 2025 is when a 150million release clause will become active in Haaland&aposs agreement.

Elsewhere, reports from Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo indicate teammate Bernardo Silva is hoping to join Barca next summer, despite recently putting pen-to-paper on a new contract. Bernardo, 29, has won the lot at City since moving to the Etihad from AS Monaco for 50million in 2017.
