Some of City&aposs players were linked with Barcelona this summer, with two players heading from the Etihad to the Nou Camp. Ilkay Gundogan joined the Blaugrana on a free after his contract expired, while Joao Cancelo arrived on a deadline-day season-long loan.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is among a number of people at the club unhappy with City&aposs reported move for a trio of youngsters. Pep Guardiola&aposs side were said to be interested in Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde and Pau Cubarsi.
The report also suggests that City leaked news that they knew nothing of a loan deal for Cancelo with days left of the window, despite his agent Jorge Mendes having everything tied up already. Xavi&aposs side did also want to sign Bernardo Silva this summer, however, the midfielder decided to sign a new deal with the Blues instead.
Elsewhere, Portuguese outlet Record reports that City had a representative watching a match between Porto and Arouca on Sunday.
