Bruno Fernandes reveals how Manchester United are preparing to face Chelsea

United were defeated 1-0 by Newcastle at St. James&apos Park at the weekend and that result moved the North East club into fifth position and above Erik ten Hag&aposs side in the Premier League.

Chelsea are set to visit Old Trafford on Wednesday night and that fixture is an opportunity to respond to the disappointing Newcastle result, which raised questions around Ten Hag again.

United have struggled this season, but they aren&apost far behind the top four Champions League places and there&aposs a possibility finishing in fifth could give qualification to Europe&aposs premium competition this term.

Fernandes sat down with club media ahead of the Chelsea game and he was asked how the team is preparing to bounce back.

“At the moment we just have to look game-by-game because we know we are not in the position we want to be,” Fernandes said.

“Focusing game-by-game is what we can control at the moment and we cant look too much at the table. You can look too much at the future and not do the present right.

“We have to raise ourselves for the next challenge we have ahead.”
