The Brazilian duo both arrived at Old Trafford in the summer transfer window for significant sums of money. Casemiro was bought for 60m while Antony came for a fee of 86m.
Antony and Casemiro knew each other before joining United having played alongside each other for their national team. And the 30-year-old central midfielder has now reacted to the signing of the Ajax man, which came late in the window.
“I think it's really important to have such a quality player here [as Antony ] with us,” he told United's official website. “I knew him from the national team already.
“He'd played with us in Brazil, it's always important to have players of Antony's level. Not just him, we have a lot of top-quality players.”
United's new winger has already been spotted enjoying Manchester and Casemiro has explained that he has already started to settle in England. “It's great, really good, a really friendly club where I feel comfortable,” he added.
“I've been made to feel comfortable here from the first day. I'm really happy with my team-mates, they're always helping me.
“The coaching team always explaining things clearly to me, I'm doing really well and am very happy. On the city, people tell me a lot about it, like where the best restaurants are.
