Erling Haaland is the latest player to cause Pep Guardiola some worry after going down in Norways friendly win over the Faroe Islands this week. The City striker has now addressed the situation after being ruled out of Sundays clash with Scotland.
He joins a number of other Blues teammates who are doubts for Citys first game back against Liverpool in a weeks time. Several players have picked up issues recently including summer signings Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes.
Haaland has pledged he will be working hard to be back as soon as possible after suffering an injury blow last week.
On Thursday, the City talisman caused concern for Blues supporters when he went down clutching his ankle in the penalty area during Norway&aposs 2-0 victory over the Faroe Islands. He was treated by the national team&aposs medical department on the pitch and eventually he was able to continue and finish off the match.
The team&aposs doctor Ola Sand then confirmed Haaland would travel to Scotland for Sunday&aposs Euro 2024 qualifier with a view to playing. However, Sand changed his prognosis on Saturday morning.
