Four players Manchester United are tipped to sign in the January transfer window

Manchester United are expected to make their first signing of the window as they hope to finalise a deal to bring Wout Weghorst to the club until the end of the season. The target man is expected to bolster the attack, with the lack of a specialist number nine at present for Erik ten Hag to call upon.

Once this move is completed, attentions will turn to other targets with Jadon Sancho currently out of action and Cristiano Ronaldo having left the club. This means that United could target another winger while there are other areas of the pitch, such as the midfield, which could also see reinforcements.

Here are four players who have been tipped by the bookies to join the club this month.

A player with a similar profile to Felix, Depay is a versatile forward and impressed with the Netherlands at the World Cup at the end of last year. He is not a player who appears to be favoured by Xavi at Barcelona and could be drawn to a return to Old Trafford to work for compatriot ten Hag.

With a move for Wout Wegorst edging closer, Ramos is another World Cup star who could be heading to Old Trafford in this window. A different style of striker, Ramos would be more of a dynamic goal threat than the former Burnley man and United are the favourites for his signature at present.

One player who would not be signed to bolster the forward line could be Neves, with the Wolves midfielder being tipped for a transfer away from Molineux.

He could be signed to provide depth in the deep-lying playmaker role currently covered by Christian Eriksen but United will face competition for his signature from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The winger has started Chelsea&aposs last two Premier League matches, with the 24-year-old benefitting from injuries and a strong World Cup performance to work his way into Graham Potter&aposs plans.
