Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno issues Manchester United warning ahead of Premier League fixture

United suffered their eighth defeat in all competitions this season on Wednesday night, being dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle United. The Magpies cruised to a 3-0 triumph, condemning United to a second successive defeat by the same scoreline at Old Trafford.

The Reds have produced a series of sluggish and uninspiring performances in recent weeks, meaning pressure is mounting on manager Erik ten Hag. His side will make the trip to the capital for Saturday&aposs lunchtime kick-off eighth in the Premier League table, just three points ahead of Fulham, who are currently 14th.

United are a broken team at this moment in time, struggling to score goals at one end and keep them out at the other. Shot-stopper Leno believes United&aposs ongoing struggles should make him and his teammates all the more wary of them, implying that their recent setbacks may trigger an explosive reaction on the banks of the Thames.

“It&aposs been a very difficult season for them, with a lot of ups and downs, but that makes them even more dangerous,” Leno said, as quoted by Fulham&aposs club website.

“They are under big, big pressure, they have big players, good players with a lot of quality, so they will demand everything from us because they need the three points, so I think we have to expect a very good Man United team.

“They are probably not full of confidence but, as I said, that makes them even more dangerous.”
