Full Chelsea squad vs Manchester United as Christopher Nkunku decision confirmed

Caicedo was a player of interest for United prior to him moving to Brighton and Hove Albion in 2021. The decision not to sign the defensive midfielder, who previoulsy stated he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Reds icon Antonio Valencia, came back to bite the club in the summer when he made a whopping 115m move to Stamford Bridge.

Like many of his new teammates, Caicedo has endured an inconsistent start to life in London but he remains one of Mauricio Pochettino&aposs trusted options in the centre. Tonight will also see a player return to Manchester in the form of Cole Palmer.

The boyhood United fan made his name at Manchester City but was surprisingly sold in the summer by Pep Guardiola. Since his move south, Palmer has moved from strength-to-strength and has bagged six goals and four assists in 16 appearances.

Notable absentees include Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia who continue to recover from injuries. Here is the Chelsea squad in full ahead of tonight&aposs game:
