‘Got us over the line’ – Bolton Wanderers dressing room verdict of Peterborough United win

Wanderers hosted Posh and went close to taking the lead in the first half when Gethin Jones headed against the post. Conor Bradley had earlier seen a good chance go wide.

After the break, Dion Charles curled over from outside the box, while Jack Iredale also saw an effort saved. But Wanderers went ahead thanks to Dapo Afolayan as his deflected effort bounced over the line to deliver the hosts a valuable three points.

The win saw Wanderers remain fifth in the League One table and solidify a place in the top six. Members of the Bolton dressing room took to Twitter following the three points and here's what they had to say.

Kyle Dempsey, who turned 27 today, wrote: “3points, what a birthday present. Fans enjoy your weekend, class as always. Got us over the line.”

Jack Iredale wrote: “Solid 3 points today. Had to fight hard for that win, feeling it now. Fans were class as always Thankyou for the support.”

James Trafford wrote: “Great win and clean sheet, congrats @Ralmeidas5 on his 100th appearance for this great club.”
