Haaland (ankle) limped off when playing for Norway against the Faroe Islands on Thursday night and City will have everything crossed hoping their free-scoring striker makes a quick recovery. The treble-winners are due to take on Premier League title rivals Liverpool in their next domestic match on Saturday, November 25.
City will have to check up on eight players before the game at the Etihad Stadium (12.30pm) after Haaland became the latest man to enter their treatment room. Here&aposs our injury round-up and possible return dates for those players.

Norway team doctor Ola Sand said: “It was much of the same that happened against Bournemouth. He&aposs had it before, too. He gets a slight twist in his ankle, where he&aposs a bit vulnerable. It hurts a lot right away and then it goes away pretty quickly. Now he will receive treatment, then there will be peace and rest, and then we will see how he is tomorrow morning. We have already spoken to City. Erling has spoken to both City and their doctor.”
Haaland has remained with Norway ahead of their clash with Scotland on Sunday so the early signs are good.

Ederson suffered an impact injury against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. However, the Brazil goalkeeper – who has since withdrawn from international duty this month – was able to continue and play the entire 90 minutes during a memorable eight-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge.

Kovacic was involved in the Chelsea game as a second-half substitute. However, the Croatia midfielder has since picked up a muscular problem and won&apost feature for his country against Latvia and Armenia.

Ake picked up an injury before the Chelsea match and, as such, was unavailable for that Stamford Bridge thriller. City are yet to provide an update on the centre-back, but he did withdraw from Netherlands duty for Euro 2024 qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar.
