The two Premier League rivals will go head-to-head in an early season indication of whether they could be fighting it out in the upper reaches of the table this season. Erik ten Hag&aposs side will be hoping they can improve their disastrous away form of late and claim a valuable three points, although the Gunners are bound to prove tough opposition after mounting a surprise title charge last term.
If United are to come away from the game with three points, Rashford is likely going to need to be on form – although it seems the Gunners are aware of just how good a player he is. Arsenal defender William Saliba was asked to rank Premier League strikers Erling Haaland, Rashford and Newcastle&aposs Alexander Isak ahead of Sunday&aposs clash, placing the United forward in second behind Man City&aposs No.9.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Sunday&aposs game, Saliba said: Rashford is so, so good. So [much] technique, so [much] speed. He is a tough player to play against.
Asked where Rashfords best position is, Saliba replied: For me, its better when he is on the left, like this is for Ben White! But as a striker as well, hes so good because hes so fast, he makes some good runs in behind so its hard to play against him.
Rashford bagged an impressive 30 goals and set up 11 assists for his teammates across all competitions for United last season. He has got off to something of a quiet campaign so far though, failing to get on the scoresheet in United&aposs three competitive games so far.
