‘I’m a true fan’ – Julia Roberts opens up about love for Manchester United

The US actress is one of the clubs most well-known international supporters, has visited Old Trafford and was present at Uniteds pre-season tour earlier this year. Roberts was part of the 82,000-strong crowd which watched Erik ten Hags side beat Arsenal 2-0 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.

The 56-year-old told Uniteds media channel about how she started supporting the club after the Arsenal win. She said: Were so excited. Theyre such a part of our familys history as avid sports lovers and now the kids are all grown up, they were tiny when we first met everybody, so it will be great to see some people that we know and to meet some of the new players.

Roberts has again opened up about her love for United on a UK chat show. The Notting Hill actress, who won an Oscar in 2000 for playing the titular character in Erin Brockovich was speaking while promoting her new film Leave The World Behind.
