Jaap Stam agrees with Paul Scholes verdict on Rasmus Hojlund at Manchester United

Hojlund has shown plenty of promise since arriving from Atalanta in a 72million deal but is yet to score in the Premier League. The 20-year-old has missed several good opportunities to open his account but also lacked consistent service.

Scholes has laid the blame on Hojlund&aposs teammates more than once, most recently urging United&aposs wide players to feed the Dane with decent crosses. And before the 4-3 Champions League defeat against FC Copenhagen, the former Reds midfielder singled out Bruno Fernandes for not doing enough.

It is a concern echoed by Stam, who has been impressed by Hojlund&aposs start to life at United but admits it is not easy moving to such a big club.

He has made a really good impression on me,” Stam told Tipsbladet. “I think he is a really good player.

“He is very talented. He has an excellent left foot, a really good physique and lots of speed. And he has shown that in his first matches for United.
