Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Telles both secured moves to the Gulf state from Manchester United within the past 12 months, with a number of other Premier League stars making the trip over the summer.
Sancho finds himself in a similar situation to Ronaldo was in – being at odds with Erik ten Hag. The winger is still exiled from first-team matters for refusing to apologise about his public rebuttal of the United boss. Ronaldo had declared he had no respect for Ten Hag before his contract was terminated almost a year ago.
Sancho is likely to leave on loan in January with a summer sale on the cards if the situation is not resolved. Sancho has not played since August, having ignited his stand-off with Ten Hag after the Dutchman left him out of the squad to face Arsenal due to training levels.
Now, the Telegraph reports that a number of Saudi outfits could come calling in the new year. Clubs from the nation had approached Sancho during the summer but he signalled he had no interest in moving at that point, although such a stance may have changed given the little movement that has happened in the saga since.
Meanwhile, United are said to be ready to trigger the release clause of Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio. The 22-year-old has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
