According to A Bola, the reigning Premier League champions were in attendance at the Estadio do Dragao, although it remains unclear if City were in Portugal to watch a specific player. The report was later confirmed by O Jogo, who reported that Blues staff were present inside the stadium.
Porto cruised to a 4-1 victory in the match on Saturday, with Galeno (2), Otavio and Mehdi Taremi all on target. Brazilian winger Galeno was impressive throughout the clash and also recorded an assist, and right-back Joao Mario was bound to have impressed the scouts with a strong showing.
It adds that City had scouts in attendance watching several of Porto&aposs matches last year. The two clubs last met in the Champions League in December 2020, with the game finishing 0-0.
Elsewhere, Blues youngster Kayky has hinted that he is happy to be back in his homeland after joining Bahia on loan for the entirety of the 2023 season in Brazil.
The Brazilian attacker spent the first half of the current European campaign with Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira, but he will now be playing in the Bahia state league as well as Serie A, the top tier of Brazilian domestic football.
Kayky, who joined City in the summer of 2021, made his senior debut in the Blues&apos FA Cup win over Swindon Town in January 2022. He is under contract at the Etihad until 2026.
