Perrone is a defensive midfielder who has been on the radar of Premier League rivals including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United. The Magpies have been intensely linked with the midfielder and now, according to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola has managed to persuade the Argentinian to move to the Etihad.
The 20-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on Saturday, will be competing in the South American U20 Championships this month and is expected to feature as a prominent member of the Argentina squad. City&aposs move for Perrone is believed to be setting them back 6.5m.
Elsewhere, according to Give Me Sport, rumours about the future of Jack Grealish have been circulating again. Despite improved form in recent matches, which included his game-winning assist against Chelsea in the Premier League last week, it is still claimed that City are looking to use the former Aston Villa man in a swap deal.
One name in Italy that has been touted previously as being the subject of such a move is AC Milan&aposs Rafael Leao. However, another player that has been tipped to be swapped with Grealish is Arsenal&aposs Bukayo Saka.
Saka is enjoying another positive season with the Gunners having scored seven goals and six assists in 23 appearances for Mikel Arteta&aposs team. City have previously been linked with a move for the Englishman however letting go of Grealish to accommodate this move is understood by MEN Sport to be unlikely.
