Manchester United complete Sergio Reguilon loan deal

United have inserted the option of a break clause to terminate the loan in January and are covering Reguilon&aposs salary of around 120,000-a-week.

There is no option to buy Reguilon, who becomes the first Tottenham player to transfer to United since Dimitar Berbatov exactly 15 years ago on transfer deadline day.

United switched their attention to Reguilon after abandoning a move for Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella.

Cucurella played in Chelsea&aposs League Cup second round win over AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday evening and United&aposs insistence on a break clause meant he would not be able to be transferred to a third club in January.

The Manchester Evening News revealed United&aposs interest in Reguilon on Saturday after the club drew up a shortlist of left-backs to offset injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
