Charlton are the only non-Premier League side remaining in the competition and by drawing them United have avoided the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United and Leicester City. Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all already crashed out meaning a victory on Tuesday night will give Erik ten Hag a strong chance of winning silverware or at least reaching a final in his first season.
Charlton will not make it easy however. They have already beaten Premier League opposition so far in the competition, knocking Roberto de Zerbi&aposs Brighton side out in the last round.
But who are the players that United need to be looking out for in their quarter-final fixture? Let&aposs take a look:
While on loan from Crystal Palace, Rak-Sakyi has been impressing for Charlton. The 20-year-old is joint top scorer at the League One club and has becoming a regular member of the starting XI.
He scored on his debut for Charlton in a 5-1 win against Plymouth Argyle and will be hoping to add to his already impressive tally at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
However, Rak-Sakyi has not been the biggest breakout talent at Charlton this season; that honour has to go to 19-year-old Leaburn.
Leaburn is also joint top-scorer at Charlton this season, having only made his senior debut at the start of the campaign. He will be hoping to emulate his father Carl Leaburn, who scored against United in 1994, however, he will be hoping that his side can get the win instead lost 3-1.
