Manchester United receive major Amad injury boost

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Sunderland in the Championship, featured in the opening pre-season games and he made the squad for the United States tour.

His return to training is a boost for United and he could make the first-team squad for the visit of Bournemouth this weekend.

Amad was voted the PFA Fans&apos Player of the Year after his spell in the Championship and he contributed 14 goals and four assists, which made him a fan favourite among Sunderland supporters.

The youngster was hopeful of forcing himself into Erik ten Hag&aposs plans this season, but his injury in pre-season denied him a chance to make an impression in the States.

Although Antony was the first choice on the right wing last season, he&aposs lost his starting role in this campaign and Marcus Rashford recently played there until he was benched against Chelsea.
