The highly-rated OGC Nice defender was mooted as a possible target for United this summer. However, with the club&aposs minority takeover pending, Todibo could follow Sir Jim Ratcliffe to Old Trafford.
The Manchester Evening News understands United wanted to bring in another centre-back next summer with plans in place to make four key signings. However, reports from the Mirror state that chase could be brought forward with Todibo very much on the club&aposs radar.
It could take a fee of around 40million to secure his signature. The 23-year-old has played 114 matches for Ratcliffe-owned Nice and has been capped once by the France national team. Newcastle are also thought to be in the mix for the former Barcelona defender, while the Catalan giants stand to receive 20 per cent of any sale.
Elsewhere, reports from several outlets indicate Turkish side Galatasaray, who are in the same Champions League group as United this season, could be ready to offer Donny van de Beek an escape route from Old Trafford. The ex-Ajax playmaker has only started six Premier League games for United since his move to the club in 2020.
Even a reunion with Erik ten Hag has been unable to improve his game time and Van de Beek was made available for transfer this summer. However, at that juncture, there were no takers for the 40million man and he was made to stay put at Old Trafford.
