Salah has won the accolade on three occasions now, but a former Liverpool star believes he wont get his hands on the prize next season. Haaland netted 86 times in 89 games for Borussia Dortmund in two-and-a-half years.
Hes scored 135 goals in 183 senior career matches and his goals-to-games ratio is expected to improve at City. The Norway striker will arrive at the Etihad on a 51m deal, excluding wages, agent fees and personal add-ons.
Former City and Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman believes Haaland will go on to be the Premier Leagues top scorer next season, partly due to Liverpools saturated attack force.
Salah is supported at Anfield by Sadio Mane, Luis Dias, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota. McManaman has predicted all five to share the goals next season and thus give Haaland a better shot at the Golden Boot.
Speaking to SPORTbible, he explained: If he (Haaland) stays fit, I think he could be brilliant. I think Liverpools forwards will spread it around a bit more now.
One of them might be moved on next year because you cant keep five (attackers) happy. I think Liverpool will scatter their goals across the board next year.
