News From Manchester: ‘Tell us the truth’ – club delivers witty comments on Cristiano Ronaldo Instagram post

The 37-year-old Manchester United superstar is back in his homeland, preparing for his countrys Nations League fixtures in June. Ronaldo – who missed United' s final day loss at Crystal Palace – has previously made it known that he wishes to play into his forties.

Many are seeing this winters World Cup as his last, but his statement indicates he is eyeing Euro 2024 which would likely be his final international tournament. For now, he will be attempting to help his side earn another Nations League crown after winning the inaugural edition of the competition in 2019.

On Friday, Ronaldo posted several photos of him in Portugal training on his Instagram ahead of next weeks games. He captioned it: Home, sweet home!

It soon received a reply from SC Braga, who are commonly touted as the countrys fourth biggest club, behind the big three of Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon – Ronaldos first club. The final photo posted by the player sees him bracing to take on a shot at goal.

In response, the clubs social media admin joked: Third photo youve missed right? Tell us the (truth). You still the GOAT.
