News From Manchester: The 18 Man City players who will be given a Premier League medal and those who will miss out

Guardiola's men kicked off on Sunday afternoon one point clear at the summit of the table, with Jurgen Klopp's side hosting Wolves at Anfield. Liverpool did their job by beating Bruno Lage's men 3-1, but a stunning City comeback meant they were crowned champions.

City will receive 40 medals following their Premier League triumph, with the league establishing rules that they can be distributed to the manager, players and the officials that the club see fit, as long as every player who has made at least five top-flight appearances this season gets one.

There are 18 players within City's squad that are guaranteed to receive a Premier League medal.

The likes of Ederson , Joao Cancelo , Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias are well over the required appearance total, while fellow defenders Kyle Walker , Nathan Ake, Oleksandr Zinchenko and John Stones are also eligible for a medal.

In midfield, Bernardo Silva , Rodri , Kevin De Bruyne , Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho all have sufficient games under their belts, as do forwards Raheem Sterling , Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez .

City's 100million summer signing Jack Grealish, who has made 26 appearances in the league this season, will also been handed his first Premier League medal.

Youngster Cole Palmer has made four appearances this season, and so because he did not feature from the bench on Sunday he will not be eligible for a medal. The only other player to make four appearances is Ferran Torres , but he has since joined Barcelona.
