Positive Erling Haaland fitness update as Everton refer to Man City charges amid points sanction

The striker went down holding his foot against the Faroe Islands on Thursday before continuing the game. Now Norways medical team has given a positive update on the attacker with the Blues due to play Liverpool a week on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Evertons points deduction has directed attention back on Citys Premier League charges, allegations that the club denies in full. The Toffees made a passing reference to other top-flight outfits having allegations against their name in their statement on Friday.

Haaland will travel with the Norway squad to Scotland ahead of their final Euro 2024 qualifier on Sunday, handing City some much-needed positive injury news.

City have already seen four players withdraw from international duty this week, to add to their three players already out with injury. Haaland went down in Norway&aposs friendly win over the Faroe Islands on Thursday holding his ankle, before completing the game.
