Rio Ferdinand sends message to Marcus Rashford after criticism of Manchester United forward

Rashford was criticised by manager Erik ten Hag for going to a birthday party at a nightclub just hours after United were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City last weekend. The Dutchman said in his Friday press conference that his forward&aposs actions were &aposunacceptable&apos and that an apology had been made.

After picking up an injury in the final training session before Saturday&aposs trip to Fulham, Rashford travelled to Craven Cottage but was left out of the squad. Ten Hag insisted before kick-off that his absence was purely fitness-related.
