United chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough are thought to be at risk. Arnold joined United in 2007 and only assumed the chief executive post in February 2022.
Murtough, who is approaching his 10th anniversary at United, has risen through the ranks and was appointed their inaugural football director in March 2021.
Nice, owned by the Ineos Group, are currently unbeaten and top of Ligue 1 having named Fabrice Bocquet as their chief executive in September 2022 while Florent Ghisolfi was poached from Lens as sporting director a month later.
Murtough has overseen a substantial structural overhaul at United, hiring Andy O&aposBoyle as deputy football director, Steve Brown as head of recruitment and the head of data science Dominic Jordan. Matt Hargreaves replaced Matt Judge as director of football negotiations in the summer.
Darren Fletcher was announced as United&aposs technical director at the same time that Murtough assumed the football director post.
The Ineos delegation, led by Ratcliffe, that visited United&aposs Carrington training complex in March was said to be impressed with the “depth and detail” of United&aposs infrastructure.
