Rashford sustained a heavy knock in United&aposs final training session on Friday and was unable to finish it. The 26-year-old travelled with the squad to London but failed a fitness test on Saturday morning. United manager Erik ten Hag selected a 22-man squad for the journey, which indicated there was a fitness issue.
Rashford&aposs absence comes a day after Ten Hag branded his decision to attend a birthday party on Sunday evening as “unacceptable”. United lost 3-0 at home to Manchester City hours earlier and Rashford&aposs removal was cheered by a section of the crowd at Old Trafford.
