Jamal Musiala set to make his Bayern Munich return against Bayer Leverkusen

Kicker reports that Jamal Musiala is set to make his return from a host of different injuries on Friday in the first vs second clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

Musiala missed the international break with Germany due to back problems while also missing the two games beforehand with a hamstring injury, but over the past week, he has been working on his comeback. Now it is likely that the 20-year-old will make his return to the matchday squad on Friday.

A decision will be made closer to the game whether Musiala will be on the bench for Bayern or if he will make his return to the starting 11. If Musiala is only fit enough for a place on the bench, then it is likely that he will return to the starting 11 against Manchester United next Wednesday.

Last week, Musiala was voted not only for the Kopa Trophy but also for the Ballon d’Or and with Bayern facing a very strong Leverkusen side, who will likely be challenging them for the title, on Friday they will need the 20-year-old at his best whether from the off or off of the bench.
