Kepa Arrizabalaga has asserted that Antonio Rudiger, his former teammate at Chelsea, will be a great signing for Real Madrid. Rudiger joined Madrid on a free transfer this summer after spending five seasons at Chelsea, four of them with Kepa.
Kepa opined that Rudiger has developed magnificently in these past two seasons and that the move to the Santiago Bernabeu has come at the perfect time for him. He said that he’ll have no problems adapting to life in La Liga after coming from the Premier League. Kepa knows Spanish football very well having began his career with Athletic Club.
“He’s fully mature,” Kepa told Marca. “He’s aware of everything, he understands the game. We have been playing together for the last four years and I’ve seen real evolution in his game in these last two. The move to Madrid comes at the perfect moment in his career. I think he’s a great reinforcement and he won’t have any problems adapting to La Liga. He’s an enormous signing.”
Madrid won La Liga and the Champions League last season but have already lived up to their reputation by focusing purely on 2022/23. Rudiger is an excellent signing and the Spanish giants have also landed Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be pushing to repeat their achievements next season.
