Ghana international, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh climbed off the SC Freiburg bench on Sunday afternoon to help the team to defeat FC Kaiserslautern in the DFB Pokal.
The attacker was signed by the German Bundesliga club this summer from lower-tier side FC St. Pauli.
He reported late for pre-season but proved his quality in the friendly matches he was given the chance to play in.
Today, he was left on the bench when SC Freiburg took on FC Kaiserslautern in the first round of the 2022/23 German DFB Pokal competition.
Before coming on in the 88th minute, the scoreline was level after goals from Marlon Ritter and Rolland Sallai had cancelled out.
With the game travelling into extra time, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh used his quality to give SC Freiburg an advantage as the team cruised to a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
Ritsu Doan netted the important winning goal for the German Bundesliga club.
