In the 2022 Dutch Super Cup match between PSV and AFC Ajax Amsterdam, Kudus Mohammed scored for the Dutch powerhouse.
Ajax started the match a lot brighter than PSV, but in the opening, minutes did not get any further than a shot from Antony, which went wide.
The Ghanaian midfielder scored Ajax’s third goal in their loss to PSV after coming off the bench.
The ex-FC Nordsjaelland player brilliantly powered home after pouncing onto a ball just outside the 18-yard box to cut Ajax’s deficit.
Kudus’ goal, was insufficient to save the Dutch Eredivisie champions from losing because PSV scored late in extra time to make the final score 5-3.
Calvin Bassey was shown the red card after a hard tackle on the advice of the VAR. In stoppage time, Xavi Simons took advantage of the numerical advantage.
Kudus has been in excellent form for Ajax this offseason, scoring three goals in three games prior to today’s game, bringing his total to four goals before the start of the 2022/23 football season.
