Messi agent settles controversy over his move to Inter Miami

Marcelo Mendes, a representative of Argentine international football star Lionel Messi, denounced a media report that the player was close to moving to Inter Miami.

“There are no negotiations on Messi’s transfer next season,” Mendes told CNN.

Britain’s Times reported on Sunday that officials from the club to which former English football star David Beckham is contributing are confident that Messi, 35, will sign a contract with the team after the 2022 World Cup ends in Qatar. But the newspaper cited no source.

The controversy also emerged earlier, although Messi’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires this season.

The Argentine player has already indicated that moving to the United States also arouses his desire.
