America’s Striker: We will continue to support the Iranian people…and we will compete in the arena

Taylor Adams, the US national team player, stressed that the real football goal will be evident when facing Iran.

The US national team will face its Iranian rival in the third and final round of the second group of the 2022 World Cup group stage.

Taylor said at the press conference: “The match between America and Iran is more than just a football match? No, because the goal of that game has always been to bring people together. We will continue to support the Iranian people and we will compete well on the field.”

When asked if he was satisfied with representing a country with racial discrimination for black people, he replied: “There is discrimination wherever you go. In the United States, we are improving. I am a person of African descent and mixed with different cultures. It comes with learning. I see change every once in a while and that’s good.” .

And he touched on talking about the details of the match: “I cannot tell you the formation or the method of play. I am not the coach, but what I know is that we will focus on the attack and seek it.”

He continued, “We will do our best in the match. We are focused on the football of tomorrow.”

The US national team ranks third in Group B standings, with two points, while Iran holds two points.

The US national team will face its rival Iran tomorrow, Tuesday, in the third and final round of the group stage.

And the American national team guarantees its qualification to the next round with only one scenario: winning against Iran by any result.
