Vinicius applies a lesson he learned from Modric with Brazil

Vinicius Junior, Brazil striker, commented on his country’s victory (2-0) against Serbia, yesterday, Thursday, in the World Cup competitions currently being held in Qatar.

Vinicius said, in statements to “FIFA Plus” website: “I am happy with the coach’s confidence in me. It is very difficult because we have many strikers. Rafinha comes to play here and he is at a distinguished level, as is the case with Richarlison, and we do not need to talk about Neymar.”

He added, “I am happy with my first appearance. The list worked hard to present a distinguished match. We tried in the first half and things were difficult for Serbia’s defense with a large number of players.”

And he continued: “We knew that we would suffer, they entered the first half strongly and chased us, but we ended up exhausting them. We spoke with Richarlison and he told us that he was not getting the ball enough, but we asked him to prepare, and that the ball would reach him two or three times, and that he must achieve victory.” For us, he is happy that he is always ready at crucial times.”

And about his kicking the ball in front of Neymar in the first goal shot, he said, laughing: “Neymar got his time to shoot, and I ended up hitting the ball, and Richarlison was well positioned.”

And considering his manufacture of the second goal outside the foot: “I trained on that game a lot, and learned it more from Modric (his Real Madrid colleague), and I ended up doing it in many meetings.”
